A quick note on something I say wrong in my narration at 00:09:45, 00:10:56, and 00:13:24. I say "Kilometers" and "Kilometers per hour," but am thinking "miles" and "mph" in these time-stamps. Apologies for the confusion. We were a bit over 15 miles (28.8 kilometers) north of the Elephant Skull intersection and Woga 7 campsite when we camped on the Mara River. At 32 kph, it took us a little while to drive 28 kilometers . . . that's what I intended to say and what I am referring to in those three points of the video.

That said . . . our team ventured to Tanzania in September of 2016. While the core focus of the trip was a self-drive overlanding, camping, and wildlife photography safari, we also trained for a mountain climb to the summit of Mt. Kilimanjaro. As the team leader and driver of truck 1, I often took a bit of video with my smartphone as the real photographers were at work. The result . . . . 5+ hours of many many short videos that would likely only get deleted or take up valuable storage space on my computer. Instead, the short clips are being assembled into actual episodes (with my own variety of very amateur editing) in between other tasks and events here at home. While the production value may not be that of something you'll find on the NatGeo channel, we hope you enjoy these nonetheless.

Episode 2 covers days 5 and 6 of our overlanding adventure in the Serengeti. We travel from Seronera, through Lobo, and make an unscheduled overnight on the Mara River thanks to the TANAPA Rangers at the Kogatende Ranger Station. Our day in the Lamai Wedge, near the border of Kenya, was an excellent experience for us all.
