Basic Image Editing in PowerPoint - Remove Background, Apply Image Effects

In this video we go over some basic image editing in PowerPoint 2010. We go over how you can remover the background and apply some image effects.
First, you need to insert an image in your PowerPoint presentation. From the Insert tab, the Images section, click on Picture and insert an image.
Once you select an image from the Format tab in Picture Tools you can perform a number of corrections to an image and apply various image effects.
You can apply different artistic effects from the Artistic Effects menu and change an image's color saturation, color tone and recolor an image from the color menu, as well as perform a number of corrections to an image, by sharpening or softening it and changing its brightness and contrast from the Corrections menu in the Adjust section of the Format tab in picture tools.
If you would like to remove the background of an image in PowerPoint, here is how. Click on the image to select it, then click on Remove Background in Picture tools.
You can tell PowerPoint which areas of the image you want to keep or remove by clicking on the Mark Areas to keep and Mark Areas to Remove buttons. You select the areas you want to keep or remove by holding down your mouse's left key and dragging. Once done click on the Keep Changes button, or you can start over by clicking on the Discard Changes button.
Once you are done, you can save your edited image by right-clicking on it and selecting Save as Picture to save your image in .png, .jpg or a number of other image formats.
