Welcome to the video!
In this tutorial, I’ll show you how to create a super easy Minecraft elevator that can move you 384 blocks, from the bottom of the overworld all the way to the top, in just 11 seconds. That is almost 35 blocks/second! (Java 1.21+)
The best part? It’s not your typical flying machine or piston setup! Instead, we’re using Nether portals to make this elevator work, and it's faster than you might think.
This design is a follow-up to my earlier video, "The Nether Roof Elevator", where I demonstrated how to build an instant elevator between the Nether and the Overworld. In this video, we take it a step further and demonstrate how to use the elevator to travel between the bottom and the top of the world!
Here’s how it works:
• Start in the Overworld at Y-63, the lowest point for building.
• Enter the Nether through a portal, teleport to another portal at Y 35, and use a minecart system to send signal through the portal.
• Teleport again to the Overworld at Y 320 – the world build limit.
• Deactivate the bottom portal with a lava bucket and dispenser for going up, and reactivate it with a signal to go back down.
