Sermon: Vengeance and Glory at the Second Coming (November 16 2025)

🔵 “For Unbelievers Afflicting the Church: Eternal Vengeance and Destruction
When Christ returns, those who have persecuted his church will face God's justice and vengeance for their hate of his people.
a. Judgment final and swift, not spread out over a millennium.
b. Jesus’ return not a secret or gradual event, but a once-for-all, final end of this present age.
🟣 For the Church Afflicted by Unbelievers: Eternal Relief and Glory
a. Believers will receive eternal rest, free from suffering, and will receive a glorious body and spirit in the new heaven and earth.
b. The eternal glory and relief promised at Christ’s return will be beyond our imagination, fully enjoying God’s presence forever.
🟣 A People Worthy of His Calling at the Second Coming
a. We are to strive to be worthy of God’s calling, a call to live faithfully, in holiness, and in good works, as we await the glory of Christ's return.
b. Our actions must reflect Christ’s righteousness, living our lives for God’s glory, so that when Christ returns, we will also be glorified.
