Hey guys, welcome to my channel!
Today I'm gonna show you how to insert an image into your document on Microsoft Office Word and set how your object interacts with the text around it. For example, you can choose to have the text continue around the object or cross right over it.

How to insert an image and layout it on Microsoft word

To insert a picture into your document, go to the Insert tab and then click the "Pictures" button. Then, go to the folder where your picture is located in it. Now select the picture and press the "Insert" button. Now, your picture is inserted into your document.

The default layout of the inserted image is "In line with the text". This option places your picture on the same line as the surrounding text. The image will thus move as text is added or removed. You can change the default layout from the Microsoft Word option which I will explain in another video.

Now to change the layout of the picture, click on it and from this icon on the top-right corner of the picture, select your desired layout. The other way for accessing to these options is from the "Format" tab. Go to the Format tab and click on the "wrap text" icon.

There are 6 other options apart from "In line with text". The first one is "Square" which means the picture's frame is surrounded with text.

The second and third options have no difference in many pictures. They set the text around your picture's object only if you insert a PNG picture that has a transparent background. Otherwise, they will have no difference with the "Square" option.

The next one is "Top and Bottom" which locates your image between two lines. In this option, there is no text in line with your image.

The last two options, as the name suggests, locate your image behind and in front of the text.

With these options, you can locate your image anywhere in your document on Microsoft Office Word. Thank you for watching this video. Please subscribe to the channel and share this video with your friends.
