This interview is with Dr. Christopher Pannucci, who has a keen interest in venous thromboembolism risk assessment. He was involved in original studies to validate the Caprini risk score and has produced many studies since that time. He is a prolific researcher and clinician with a plastic surgery practice in Spokane, Washington. He specializes in microsurgical procedures, breast reconstruction, and aesthetic surgery. In this video he discusses his approach to risk assessment and, although at times we disagree, his approach is very thought-provoking and stimulates all of us to pursue the common goal of protecting the patient from developing a thrombotic event.
