Install Virtual Box Addition for Ubuntu 9 10 for higher monitor resolution
I'll show you how to install Virtual Box Additions for improve performance and monitor resolutions in Operating Systems running in Virtual Box.
All you have to do is go to the devices menu item at the top of your virtual machine window in Sun Virtual Box then click on Install Additions at the bottom of the menu. A CD short cut will show up in your desktop. Open the CD and open Autorun.sh in terminal type in your password and press enter.
Terminal would install Vbox Additions automatically.
You need to lastly restart Ubuntu 9.10 and now you should have higher resolution in Ubuntu when in Virtual box.
Plus, auto mouse capture and uncapture when you move your mouse's cursor in and out of the virtual machine windows.
