In nature, energy flows one direction. From the tree into the fruit. Never the other way.
A tree never pulls nutrients back out of its own apples. It pours everything it has into them — and then the fruit falls, seeds the ground, and new life begins.

That's how family is designed to work too. Parents pour life, love, presence, and energy into their children. One direction. Always.

But what happens when that flow inverts? When a child begins pouring energy back into the parent — soothing them, managing them, performing for them?

That inversion is the root of the most common form of family trauma most of us have experienced. And most people don't recognize it because it was just... normal.

In this video I walk through the apple tree metaphor and what a healthy family dynamic is actually designed to look like — so you can start seeing where it may have gone off course in your own life.
