Ukrainian pianist Artem Tereshchenko performs his own arrangement of the legendary song "Thunderstruck" by AC/DC, composed by Angus and Malcolm Young. The recording was made live during the Klaipėda Piano Masters open-air performance at the Klaipėda Sea Festival 2023. Please excuse the camera work, which was a bit out of control due to commotion in the crowd.
Released in 1990, "Thunderstruck" is one of the most recognisable in AC/DC's entire catalogue and it is a setlist staple having been performed at nearly all shows since its release. With the exception of new material from albums they are touring behind, it is one of only three songs released after Back in Black that are still performed live by the band. "The Guardian" ranks the song number eight on its list of the 40 greatest AC/DC songs.
Artem Tereshchenko (born 2001) graduated from the Dnipropetrovsk Academy of Music and recently entered the VDU Music Academy in Kaunas. He won his first award at the age of seven and went on to successfully participate in festivals and competitions around Europe. His biggest wins to this date - Grand Prix at the international competition "Masters of the Viennese School" in Belgorod, the absolute 1st prize at the Orbetello Piano Competition, and the 1st prize at the "Piano Talents" competition in Milan.
