This will be the first of four in a series of meetup events that take a deeper look at the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) version 2.0.

WCAG offers four principles in support of accessibility;

• Perceivable

• Operable

• Understandable

• Robust

In this session, we'll look at Perceivable, ensuring information and user interface components are presentable to users in ways they can perceive. We'll look at:

• Text Alternatives

• Time-based Media

• Adaptable Content

• Distinguishable Content

This session is geared primarily towards

• developers (yes, there will be code)

• designers (color contrast)

• user experience professionals (plenty of examples)

This session also provides value to site owners, project managers and quality assurance analysts. Attendees will walk away with a better understanding of what this WCAG principle means and how to reference the success criteria to their projects.
