Improve the Google ranking of your shop by finding the right keywords and tracking them.

Discover how to find relevant keywords for your shop but also track their efficiency and with which tool or Shopify application you can do so. This video is meant for e-merchants who want to improve their shop in the long run. We will aim to improve the natural referencing of your shop through the keywords that will be positioned on your site.

SEO or natural referencing represent all the techniques that consist in positioning a site favorably on the first results of search engines corresponding to the targeted queries of Internet users. We, therefore, seek to improve the visibility of your site by putting it in the first results of search engines. We are focusing on a small part of SEO, keyword ranking. But remember that you have to mix all the SEO practices to get a really effective result.

So for that, I'm going to show you a first tool called SemRush,. What we do is type in the keyword or the search expression on which we want to rank and it will give me all the keywords that are related to my search expression. For each keyword you can see the keyword difficulty, the CPC and the volume which corresponds to the average number of monthly searches for a keyword. What I would advise you to do is to open an excel or word file and list the keywords you have found. Know that keywords are often repetitive and it can be words that are reversed, it is quite normal and it is still necessary to enter them, even if it is very similar, to reach the most queries. There may also be keywords with spelling mistakes, consumers do not always use the correct spelling so it is also possible to rank on spelling mistakes. Once you have listed your keywords, you can use your excel to include them in your texts and keep track of where you are. For this keyword research, I used Semrush but you can also use other SEO tools like Yooda Insight, Google Adwords, SEObserver, and many others.

SEO Master King application available on Shopify. This application, much cheaper than SemRush or most SEO tools will allow you to track targeted keywords ranking. This application will help you once you have found your keywords to identify their effectiveness and calculate their performance.

For the last tool, we will concentrate on key questions more than on keywords. So why is it valuable for you to target key consumer questions? You can use these questions to make faqs or use them in your article titles and this will make you come up in the search engines. This is especially important as people often type their queries in the form of questions. Key questions are therefore an essential part of your keyword strategy. With Answer The Public you will be able to type your keyword, select the targeted country and language and the website will give you the questions related to this keyword. I could decide to integrate the questions to my faq to attract users to my site. You can use more precise keywords to find other questions and make faq by categories or products.
