Own Your Success - Just Do Better! - CPG Rant
You have to be the driver of your own success. No matter what, the only person who can influence it positively is you. There's often a tendency to place blame on YouTube -- especially when numbers go down. Regardless of whether this complaint is fair or not, the reality is that the only way that it can ever be improved is by the folks making the content.
Even if YouTube is changing -- so what? YouTube is always changing. The people watching are changing. Where they watch is changing. How they discover content is changing. You're going to have to deal with those things forever -- the same way that traditional media sources have to. You think Leave it to Beaver would do well as a network primetime program these days? I think not.
Change your approach. Change your strategy. Figure out ways to succeed. Because whining that YouTube is unfair is never gonna actually be enough to fix it.
