Tower Hill - History's Most BRUTAL Execution Site?
Throughout the centuries there were many different execution sites which became notorious for the horror that occurred there. Tower Hill in London was next to the Tower of London, and it was where hundreds of people were executed by axe in front of crowds of thousands. Some of Henry VIII's most famous friends, members of government and others lost their heads on Tower Hill. It was also where the most horrific British executions took place at the hands of the botching Jack Ketch.
