This is a re-upload because a user alerted me that there is a superior version of this MIDI online with proper snare drum velocity fade-in and other fixes.
gmbigcit.mid is yet another jazzy MIDI file from the same company as gmdance.mid, the MAP20 theme from Doom II multiplayer WAD DWANGO5. That MIDI was composed by Tracy Hurst[1] and it's almost in the same exact style as this one, but I'd rather not spread misinformation and just assume the same person wrote both tunes.
This track is incredibly funky, and it has one of the best MIDI guitar solos you will ever hear. Not joking. Any MIDI that uses the trademark Roland "doo" sound is already god-like, but the guitar solo somehow elevates it beyond what was previously thought possible. I don't exactly know what these MIDIs were composed for, but I can say my life is that much better for having heard them.
