I'm going to be honest; I've enjoyed this World Quest a bit more than Arlecchino's Story Quest, probably because I've been waiting for a long time for Remuria's lore to explored ever since the Narzissenkreuz World Quest.
Never thought we would meet the Marechaussee Hunter himself, and it is still interesting to see that Cassiodor was the same tribe with Erinyyes, and would eventually do the same thing for the people of Fontaine.
Remus and his civilization of symphony and great architect is beautiful, but holy crap, their conquest of join us or die pretty much pushed the other factions to rebel against them. At that one point, they just wanted to exterminate other factions just because they might be the potential threat that would bring the prophecy that entails Remuria's fall. You know it's bad when a dragon from the old world tells you that your people are just downright atrocious. It's good thing that Genshin Impact is not Rated R, because I don't even want to know the details of Remuria's mass genocide.
Yet another example of desperation and regret. The God King, Remus, too late to realize that bringing the destruction of races who might pose a threat to his empire's downfall would outlive him and survive in the new Fontaine. In a sense, it as the prophecy as said, their kingdom would be brilliant like no other, but would also fall like no other, and they bought ruin to themselves. That said Remuria's with Phobos pretty much screwed them over, even though they created to escape to Celestia's decree only to hasten their fall.
That final symphony made me quite emotional honestly. For all Remuria's issues, their passion for music was truly a sight to behold. I guess the final requiem is in a way a fitting closure for the end of their once great civilization despite how they went out. Rest in peace Cassiodor.
This just makes me a lot more terrified of Celestia and the Abyss's whole feud, as both have terrifying powers, and yet in the grand scheme of things, even the seemingly greatest human civilization is like nothing more than a pawn in the great war they are playing. Thank goodness, Neuvillette became the Hydro Sovereign, as he's arguably our strongest ally when Teyvat hits the fan, but man we are probably going to need more than the other Archons as well.
