In this video we're looking at how to control a camera from a micro-controller using the remote release terminal and a 4N25 optoisolator. There are dozens of reasons you might want to do this, for example building a bulb-ramping intervolometer, or using an passive IR motion sensor to make the most epic quality trail camera.
In my case, this is part of my stroboscopic rolling shutter test light build. However, since the circuit is more useful than just that I decided to split it out into it's own separate video so it could be more easily found.
