City lights in the night - The view from the terrace!

This video is when I was explaining the basics on how to paint use light colors and then utilize that to paint darker surroundings.. I try to break down the process to very simple steps - its an abstract approach to drawing the city without adding individual details.
Hope this helps you when painting similar scenes.
I have used a 200GSM watercolor paper to paint this picture. It’s ok to use regular paper if you are able to control the water and paint when painting. I used Camlin Artists paintbox with 18 shades and a normal synthetic round brush from a local art supply shop. I also used a size 4 mop brush for the parts that required more water.
I encourage my students and all of you who want to start painting to just start without worrying about the materials. Use whatever you have at hand or available at your local art store.
As you paint more you will acquire the skills to paint better, it’s the journey that counts, so enjoy it as you progress!
