Episode 11: This sauce will change your life, or your money back!
Tomato sauce recipe:
Serves 4
Ingredients,
1 Tin of plumb tomatoes or passata
4 garlic cloves
1 chicken or vegetable stock cube or stock pot
30ml olive or sunflower oil
Optional extras,
2 bayleaves
1 tsp each of dried oregano and basil
1-2 tsp balsamic vinegar
Chilli and other spices if making a curry sauce
1 tsp sugar
Method:
Heat garlic and oil in pan until sizzling, add bayleaves if using
(Add spices if making a curry sauce)
Add stock and make a paste with garlic and oil
(Add balsamic vinegar if using)
Add tomatoes and break down with spoon
Cook on lowest setting for up to an hour or when sauce is at desired consistency
Taste and add sugar if needed
Enjoy in anyway you see fit!
