Der Seealpsee ( 1'143 m ü. M.) im Alpsteingebiet in der Ostschweiz gehört zum Kanton Appenzell Innerrhoden. Die idyllische Lage, das klare Wasser sowie zwei Berggasthäuser machen ihn zu einem der beliebtesten Ausflugsziele im Alpsteingebiet. Ein steiler Weg führt hinauf zum Berg-Gasthaus Aescher, das nah am Abgrund unter einem majestätischen Felsabsturz gebaut wurde. Vorbei am Wildkirchli gelangt man durch eine prähistorische Höhle auf die Ebenalp (1'644 m ü. M.). Gegenüber liegt die Alp Sigel (1'743 m ü. M.), die durch den Bogartenfirst (1'811 m ü. M.) von den Gloggeren abgetrennt wird.
The Seealpsee is a lake at an altitude of 1,143 m above sea level, which lies in the Alpstein region in Eastern Switzerland and is part of the canton of Appenzell Innerrhoden. The idyllic location, the clear water and two mountain inns make the Seealpsee one of the most popular leisure destinations in the Alpstein region. From here, a steep trail leads up to the Aescher restaurant, which is built into the rock below a rock shelter. Past the Wildkirchli church, the trail leads through a prehistoric cave up to the Ebenalp.(1,644 m above sea level). Opposite is the Sigel alp (1,743 m above sea level), which is separated from the Gloggeren by the Bogartenfirst (1,811 m above sea level).
