How To Setup Your 'Google My Business' Page
The first step to being ranked on Google is a must do. PERIOD.
The funny thing is anyone can do this for FREE! Here lies step by step on the first step.
Step 1 is set up a new Google account.
Step 2 is go to Google.com/business.
Step 3 is input your business name
Step 4 is input your address of your business location. now if you have a business that you do not want to share your address like you're doing it from your home, you can click the box that says hide my address.
Step 5 specify the service areas. in this section you can mark if you're going to service a area or if you delivery and small details about your business.
Step 6 choose your business category. this part is important to let Google know what type of business you have that will help with your search engine optimization.
Step 7 at a contact phone number and a website URL. You cannot have a Google my business page without a phone number You can without a website and it will decrease the opportunities that you have for people to find you without having a website.
Step 8 complete your Google my business verification. this is a three-step process You must complete verification for your email, your phone, and your physical location. Google will send you a postcard to let you know that your address has been verified. this step can take a long time so make sure you do it as soon as possible.
Bonus tip Make sure that everything you have on this website is completely accurate. Inaccuracies can cost you Google ranking.
