How to 3D Print PVA Filaments with ABS on Zortrax Inventure
Zortrax Inventure is a dual-extrusion 3D printer that works with separate, water-soluble support filaments based on PolyVinyl Alcohol (PVA). It can reliably 3D print PVA support structures with high-temperature ABS-based materials.
Soluble support filaments has been made for sophisticated models that would have been impossible to 3D print without them. Water can dissolve most of support structures left on the model once the 3D printing is done, so there is no need to remove them mechanically with pincers.
There are two PVA-based support filaments dedicated for Zortrax Inventure: Z-SUPPORT that 3D prints at 180° C (356° F) and Z-SUPPORT Plus designed to work at temperatures reaching 245° C (505° F), way higher than a standard PVA.
