Presented by Artedomus and @TheLocalProject, The (Emerging) Designer Awards aim to promote designers at the early stages of their design journey. Among this year’s prizes for Residential Interior, Residential Architecture and Commercial Interior category winners are comprehensive video features worth over $150,000 each, as well as valuable media exposure on The Local Project to an audience of more than 4 million people. The winners are those that demonstrate potential through original design thinking, a superior approach to sustainability and performance, and a commitment to quality and innovation.
On 23 October 2024, The (Emerging) Designer Awards held its Awards Ceremony at the Menzies Bar at Shell House in Sydney. The exclusive industry event welcomed more than 100 of Australia’s most esteemed architects, designers and industry stakeholders, alongside an exciting cohort of emerging practitioners.
In Addition was announced the Winner of the Commercial Interior category, for July store, in Brisbane. This project stood out for its innovative approach to retail design and strong narrative of nostalgic exoticism. The central garden bed provides a clear navigational focus, while the simple yet detailed material palette creates a calming and inviting space. The jury appreciated the balance between functionality and style, making this project truly exceptional.
