TAG Update

The TAG (Technical Architecture Group) is a special W3C group responsible for defining and building consensus on web architecture principles. It interprets and clarifies these principles, resolves web architecture issues, and coordinates cross-technology architecture developments. The current TAG members include six elected members, three appointed members, a permanent emeritus chair (Tim Bernners-Lee), and a staff contact. The TAG reviews other projects through design reviews, evaluates them against various criteria, and convenes task forces when necessary. It also plays a governance and oversight role in reviewing new charters, resolving objections in the Council process, and informing technical strategy.
