ZUTOMAYO SECRET MV - YASASHIKU LAST SMILE ANALYSIS
To be clear, this all seems to be straight out of a dream.
June 5, 2020. Zutomayo broadcast a live concert, called "Bathroom Twin Piano". A concert that was only seen at the time it was broadcasted, and that since that day, has not been seen again. Said concert had this theme: 4 songs of Zutomayo, but in "piano cover" version, projected by the sound of two pianos, accompanied by the exciting but captivating voice of ACAね. All while said concert took place inside a bathroom, from which, occasionally, the splashing of water and the characteristic echo could be heard.
Said concert and its songs, with their respective sound moods, rhythms and moments, were represented and accompanied by the animation of Kawasemi, the animator of Seigi's MV, Kettobashita Moufu and Fastening.
Inside this animation is hidden something very curious. Said "curiosity", turns out to be an animated (and partial) adaptation of the story of a short manga by Zutomayo, based on a song called "Yasashiku Last Smile". This animation depicting the above mentioned, could be considered as a music video, and a very short one at that, as it has only 4 scenes.
The story behind this secret is quite tender and sentimental. It's about what it's like to be in love with someone, and how our weaknesses can put us at a disadvantage, just for deciding to be carried away by the comfort of a fantasy instead of taking the risk of declaring your love.
The effect of the feelings of this song and this video are extremely intense, as it is surprising to find something so sentimental in something as secret as this video, no, this concert. This is because Zutomayo is a very mysterious and secretive band, and for that reason, I always recommend to all of you, to keep track of them.
