LGBTQ vow renewals on a boat in Seattle
This is a recap of my very gay visit to Seattle! I went on the Love For All boat to witness LGBTQ+ vow renewals with Bendela Creme and I visited a bunch of LGBTQ-owned businesses in Pike Place Market and around the city.
In case you're wondering, the guy in the thumbnail image is my friend @rickycornishTVas we watched the real couples go through the process we also pretended we were remarrying each other too, cuz why not?! XD
“Love For All” was a vow renewal extravaganza celebrating love, commitment, and belonging in the LGBTQIA+ community. Setting sail on one of Seattle’s famed Argosy Cruises I joined dozens of couples to ‘re-tie’ the knot in a ceremony led by Justice Mary Yu, Washington’s first openly gay Asian American and Latina justice (who officiated Washington’s first same-sex marriage in 2012). The Deputy Mayor was also there to officially proclaim it as “Love For All” Day, and BenDeLaCreme (from Drag Race fame, but a Seattleite herself) was the evening’s emcee. The small businesses I visited, along with many others which have lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and queer identifiying owners, can be found all over the Seattle and at the city's original farmers market.
