By the way, "tavce" translates to "pan" and "gravce" means beans. According to the original recipe, the beans aren't fried in a pan, but baked in a casserole dish in the oven. Today, I'm baking tavce grave in a Dutch oven! Fantastic result!
Ingredients for a Dutch oven with a capacity of approximately 6 liters:
approx. 800 g white giant beans (2 cans)
8 Krakauer sausages
3 onions
2 carrots
2 bell peppers
1 chili pepper
5-8 cloves of garlic
2 cans of peeled tomatoes
2 tablespoons clarified butter
3-4 tablespoons flour
1 tablespoon paprika powder
1 tablespoon honey
approx. 300 ml water (enough to cover the surface)
Salt
Spices:
1 teaspoon pepper
1 teaspoon coriander
1/2 teaspoon cumin
2 bay leaves
