15 minute Gyoza Fried Rice! Because so many of you enjoyed my Gyoza Udon recipe awhile back I thought you might like this! Use your leftover old rice and gyoza of choice and you got yourself a quick meal. Make it vegan by using vegetable gyozas 🌱
I always have frozen gyozas so it's a handy choice of protein for many of my meals.
Serves 2-3
Ingredients:
3-4 cups day old rice
7-10 gyozas
3 cloves of garlic minced
3 green onions chopped
3 tbsp soy sauce
1 tbsp sesame oil
1/2 tsp salt
1/4 tsp black pepper
neutral oil for cooking
garnish with sesame seeds and chili oil (optional)
1 egg (scramble)
extra fried eggs (optional)
Instructions:
1. Prep your garlic, green onions and gyozas.
2. Heat a pan/wok on medium high heat and add about 2 tbsp of neutral oil such as vegetable or tea seed oil.
3. Add in the garlic and green onions and saute for about 30 seconds or until fragrant.
4. Add in sliced gyozas and cook for about 1 minute. You can use frozen or fresh gyozas.
5. Move the gyozas aside and add a tbsp of neutral oil and scramble an egg.
6. Add in rice, soy sauce, sesame oil, salt and pepper. Mix well and cook for a few minutes. If you like crispy rice bits then cook longer.
7. Plate and top with an optional fried egg. Garnish with sesame seeds and chili oil.
