Hello everyone
I am Shiv Mohan Banka, a Sports & Musculoskeletal Physiotherapist and a strength & conditioning coach. Welcome to Optimal Movement Method
Frozen Shoulder or Adhesive capsulitis causes pain and stiffness in shoulder joint. In Frozen shoulder the capsule around the joint gets inflamed, thick & inelastic and may also form adhesion between the joint.
Frozen shoulder has 3 stages Freezing, frozen & thawing
Freezing phase - pain is sharp & intense & stiffness gradually starts to set in
Frozen Phase - intensity of pain reduces and stiffness peaks
Thawing stages - Stiffness gradually starts to reduce and Range of motion increases.
A Frozen shoulder may take 6 to 18 months to recover fully or in some cases even more.
