In this interview with Ran Lahav, Alice Cova, member of the Deep Philosophy Group from Italy, describes what inspired her in the French philosopher Simone Weil, and her notion of "attention and will."

Simone Weil (1909-1943) was a Jewish-born French spiritual philosopher, and was also a political activist with communist and anarchist leanings. She studied philosophy at the École Normale Supérieure in Paris. She later participated in the Spanish Civil War against the fascists, and afterwards became attracted to mysticism and Christianity, although she never converted. She died at the age of 34 from cardiac arrest.
