Novas are a particularly interesting species. No one knows their true origin, and they’re pretty hard to come across in their natural habitat, given that their natural habitat is among the cosmos. It’s theorized that they’re born from the cores of stars, and they force their way out. It’s quite a grueling task, if the theory is proven true. But for now, all that's known is that these tricky little creatures are simple tricksters who thrive off of goofs and laughs.
Unlike their common space-bound counterpart, the Rare Nova emerged from raging tides of deep oceanic planets, far from their newfound home. Meteors, containing the Common Novas' musical life force, crashed into these planets, and over time, the Novas' biology begun to change to fit their new home. It's unknown if they would change to fit other habitats, but this is quite unlike any monster ever seen before.
