📌 What is the Computer Controlled Multipurpose Processing Vessel ("VPMC") and how does it work?
The Computer Controlled Multipurpose Processing Vessel (VPMC) is designed to demonstrate a variety of food preparation processes in small batch sizes ranging from 5 to 30 liters. This versatile unit handles essential operations such as mixing, heating, cooling, emulsifying, pasteurizing, and curing, making it suitable for use in the food processing industry.

The unit is equipped with a cylindrical jacketed vessel, where different processes can be carried out. A water bath surrounds the vessel, with its temperature controlled to facilitate heating and cooling. Heating is provided by an electric element, while a chilling unit continuously circulates cold water through the jacket to lower the temperature when required.
The mixing stage is powered by a high-speed motor attached to an adjustable emulsifier/mixer head. The unit includes four different mixer heads, allowing for a range of food processing applications, from emulsification to more complex mixing tasks.

Like all EDIBON equipment, the "VPMC" comes with the EDIBON SCADA Software, which enables real-time control, data acquisition, and management. The control system includes the unit, a Control Interface Box, a Data Acquisition Board, and software packages for monitoring and optimizing the various processes involved.
