~At the airport~
"So, I guess this is goodbye." She said.
I tried to put on my best sad face, but I was failing since in a couple of hours we were going to be together again and it just made me really happy that I was going to share this type of experience with her. "I'm really going to miss you." I said, hugging her.
"Me too, baby. But we will talk everyday and we will Skype once in a while and we are going to try to make this work. Besides, you'll visit me, right? And of course I'm going to visit you." she explained.
I smiled "Of course, baby."
She leaned up and kissed me. It was long and really passionate, and we didn't really care that a lot of people were watching. For her, this was our last kiss until we saw each other again.
She pulled away and gave me a sad smile, tears starting to form on her eyes. "Goodbye, Joseph."
I kissed her cheek. "See you later, Demetria." We hugged one last time and soon enough, she was walking towards her gate.
Six hours later, I was entering my dorm. After arranging everything, I decided to go out and see if I saw Demi, but after a long time of looking I failed. I decided to call her and finally tell her all the truth. After a few seconds, she picked up.
"Hey." She said, still sad. It was easy to tell.
"Hey, you okay?" I asked.
"Yeah, I just finished unpacking." She explained. Perfect. This meant she was in her dorm. I made my way over there quickly. I already knew where she was staying since she had told me all this stuff earlier.
"I see.. and do you like the university so far?" I asked.
"Yeah, it's pretty good. Kind of small, but you know I don't like big places." She said, giggling a bit.
I chuckled and I continued to ask her random questions like that one. Once I was outside her dorm, I told her "Hey, can you do me a favor?"
"Sure. What is it?" she said.
"Could you open the door?"
By now, I could tell she was frowning. "Wha-? Why?"
"There's a surprise for you." I explained.
She giggled. "Okay." I could listen that she was getting out of her bed and her footsteps towards the door. Once she opened it, her eyes widen and her free hand came directly to her mouth, really surprised.
"Surprise!" I exclaimed. We both hanged up and she hugged me immediately.
"What are you doing here?" she asked, pulling away later.
"Going to college." I said.
"In here?" She asked. I nodded, and started explaining everything. I could tell she was extremely happy, but when I finished explaining, she hit my arm.
"Ouch?"
"Why did you lied to me instead of just telling me the truth?!" she asked.
I chuckled. "Sorry for trying to surprise you!" I said.
She laughed and hugged me once again. "You don't know how happy I am that you did this. And I can't believe you really did this for me!"
I pulled away and looked at her directly in the eyes. "Hey, I did this and I would do so much more just to be with you."
She smiled and kissed me, just like we had done 6 hours ago in the airport. "I'm really happy I get to share all this experience with you." I smiled at her and we kissed again. I was really happy as well.
