What is Brain Surgery Really Like? Translabyrinthine Approach Acoustic Neuroma. One Month Later.
I have started a new series "Profiles in Patient Courage". I operate on many patients. Despite their fears, they allow me to open their skull and peer into their soul. When they emerge, they are hopefully better. Their courage never ceases to amaze me. I feel obligated to allow them to tell their stories.
In this video, my patient and his wife describe the scary "craniotomy" surgery that they have to undergo. In addition, they then describe the physical therapy, vestibular therapy exercises that helped.
