IIoT challenges in the wild wild west (Texas).
Johnathan discussed the current landscape of industrial automation in Oil and Gas and explored major deficiencies which also means opportunities! Innovating in the industrial space can be challenging due to harsh temperature and environmental requirements. To improve efficiencies and satisfy regulatory and safety needs, IIoT is still the new kid on the block in the industrial automation space.

Johnathan ( / johnathan-hottell-99a85134 ) has over 23 years of oil and gas automation experience from field automation, communications, and building massive continuous process SCADA host systems.
Currently he builds turn-key solutions for energy customers from onsite automation, IIot monitoring solutions, and mobile friendly SCADA dashboards. With an electronics background he has been a fan of micro-controllers from the beginning and is a passionate supporter of technologies that makes solving problems easier from IIoT, MQTT, Node-RED, to Edge Processing.
