16+ hour time lapse finishing the build for 1.16 - to be continued in 1.17. Also shows design/development working documents and creative components for anyone curious.
10 sections combined of ~16 hours building rendered in 150s - for about 6.4 minutes per second of replay footage.
Problems with Replay Mod: this version seems to record not just when you tell it to but whenever the mod is enabled, then pulls the section you tell it to record from the whole file - I lost 3 hours from the beginning of this time lapse after leaving Minecraft running overnight. Another time I was able to recover 1.5 hours I thought I’d lost, but I had to wait ~15-20 minutes for it to load.
I recommend closing and reopening your game/world whenever you use this mod to ensure the replay file remains a workable size – if you’ve left the game running for too long, the mod will have a hard time working with the resulting files even if you didn't tell it to record the whole time. This also means you might be able to access replay files from whenever the mod is enabled - so it could be beneficial. I don't know which versions this applies to, but it seems consistent in 1.16.2.
