Mega-Perimeter Expansion Time-Lapse - 30+ Million Blocks Total Removed
Finally (Mostly) Done! Now, onto the farms...
At the end of the time lapse I increased the render distance to 32 chunks to get it all in (I usually play at 16) - the fully cleared area is now 47*52 chunks, plus a 4 chunk border for future flooding.
It's better to fully afk for the 2x dupers and clean up after them until you fully expose the low-level lava lakes, then use as many 1x duper/sweeper combos as possible to speed up the process (and clean up/finish manually by the end). Not sure how useful this method will be when the lava lakes are much deeper in the future - good luck with 1.18+!
