Hey there, I’m Matt, and today I'm going to show you how to stop notifications on Chrome. Let’s dive right in.
I’ve got a blank page open on Google Chrome, and the first thing you want to do is look at the top left corner of your screen. Click on "Chrome," which is just to the left of the "File" option, and then select "Settings."
Once you’re in the main settings menu, you’ll see a sidebar.
Look for the "Privacy and Security" section and click on it. After that, scroll down to find "Site Settings." Click on that option, and now we’re looking for "Notifications." This is where you can manage how sites send you notifications.
In the notifications section, you’ll see the default behavior settings. By default, Chrome allows websites to send notifications.
If you find these notifications annoying or if you've accidentally allowed them on certain sites, you can easily change this. Just click on the option that says "Don't allow sites to send notifications."
Once you make this change, sites will automatically follow your new setting the next time you visit them.
There's no need to click "save" or anything like that; the setting saves automatically. It should take effect right away, but if you notice that it doesn’t seem to be working, try restarting Chrome.
You can do this by quitting the application and then reopening it. And that’s it!
