Hi, this is Matt, and I want to show you my super, super simple to-do list process. I honestly think this is the quickest, easiest, and most effective to-do list option out there.
What do I use? Just a basic setup in Notes. Notes, as you probably know, is the popular app on iPhone, and you can also get it on macOS. So, all I do here is set up these checkboxes in Notes. You can add them with this little checkbox icon at the top—click it, and any list of text you have will turn into a checklist.
I make a quick list of items—straightforward and to the point—exactly what I need to get done. Sometimes, I add tasks the day before, and sometimes tasks stay on for a few days if they’re bigger projects. I’ll be honest; I probably won’t get all of this list done today, but that’s okay.
Each day, I update the date and create a new checklist for the day. I delete or mark off any tasks from the previous day’s list and start fresh. That’s the beauty of it—there are no complicated steps, no extra tools like Notion or ClickUp, just a straightforward to-do list on my phone and desktop.
If you do any kind of knowledge work or you’re looking for something effective and simple, I think this is the best, most efficient, productive way to get stuff done.
