Tying a Dirty Bug Caddis with Semperfli Dirty Bug Yarn
Caddis patterns make up the majority of the flies in my box. And for good reason. Caddis are some of the most prolific insects found on rivers and streams all around the world, and the Dirty Bug Caddis is quickly becoming one of my favorite patterns for imitating them.
Dirty Bug Yarn is a product produced by Semperfli that reminds me a lot of the old Chadwick 477. It has a mottled color with lots of little fibers that help create a very realistic body for caddis and other patterns. I highly recommend tying with this material!
