Virtual Classes Without Quizzes was held on Tuesday, April 18, 2023 featuring three U of M faculty members who are participants of the Agriculture Research, Education & Extension Tech Transfer (AGREETT) program. The theme was Finding Balance: Healthy Farms, Healthy Planet. Erin Cortus, associate professor and extension engineer, discussed sustainable dairy/livestock production and air quality. Lindsay Pease, assistant professor and extension specialist, discussed contaminant hydrology, water quality, N&P management, nutrient loss, agricultural runoff. Kim VanderWaal, Assistant Professor and Extension faculty, Department of Veterinary Population Medicine covered how she uses large data sets to better understand antibiotic resistance, food safety and pathogen movements within large agricultural production systems.
