Bring Science Alive! Cells and Genetics is a program built from the ground up to align to the Next Generation Science Standards (NGSS) and the Common Core Standards. Students will engage in a series of investigations that get them to understand key concepts about traits, cells, body systems, and genetics. Students will discover some unusual traits on Madagascar's wildlife, create models of cells, and find out what it takes for doctors to diagnose patients. Students will come to really care about how cells function. Plus, they will find answers to tons of questions they may have. Why do some twins look so much alike? Why does your mouth water when you smell your favorite food? What really is cancer, and how does it affect people? Most importantly, students will feel the power and pride that come with understanding some of the deepest mysteries about how their body and the living things surrounding them function each day.
