Bring Science Alive! Waves Program Highlight
Bring Science Alive! Waves is a program built from the ground up to align to the Next Generation Science Standards (NGSS) and the Common Core Standards.
Students will be engaged in a series of investigations that will engage and delight them while building toward answering real-world questions. They will discover how surfers at their our nation's beaches use their understanding of water waves to ride them. Students will explore how light filters change the colors of photos, and they will figure out what's causing static on the radio.
This program will not only teaches science in the new ways envisioned by NGSS, but will also make students appreciate how science can help them explain phenomena they observe and guide them in designing solutions to engineering problems.
