Southside Paddlers - June Downwinder
A quick video of the June monthly downwinder organised by Vance and Southside Paddlers. It’s a well coordinated morning with a great turn out each month. This one was also a week before the Beach to Beach race and nearly the exact same course starting 1km off of Moffat Beach and finishing up the river rather than the beach and about 2km shorter.
This morning was pretty windless but there were some residual bumps from the southerly winds the previous day, so for me it wasn’t a super fast paddle but it did allow me to work on catching the runners that were on offer, always great to learn from the other paddlers too.
Already looking forward to the next one.
As per usual, I paddled my Fenn Elite S with my Gara Odin paddle and my Sharkskin Rapid dry shirt on.
