Sunshine Coast Paddlesports Club 10km TT May ‘23
A video of my May ‘23 Time Trial with Sunshine Coast Paddlesports Club. Some of the other guys opted for the 7.5km option so there were just 4 of us on the start line.
The race starts 1km up Eudlo Creek, exiting onto the Maroochy River and turning towards the ocean, Paddle straight down the river passing to the right of Chambers Island and turning around the Red channel marker a fraction after the 5km mark and returning along the same route.
This week we paddled into the current on the way down with the current behind us for the return leg,
Mark paddled extremely well next to me and the pace never slowed on his efforts which resulted in a PB for him and maybe even for me with us hitting the 10km mark in 49m20s and that included a 30+ second portage due to my poor navigation through the Cottontree Channel.
I paddled my Nelo Vanquish with my Gara Odin paddle. My Sharkskin Rapid Dry shirt keeping me cool and chafe free and filmed on my Insta 360 X3.
