Delicious Sourdough Sopapillas made with sourdough discard, this puffed flour pastry is an excellent dessert with a touch of powdered sugar/ cinnamon sugar or honey.

2 cups ( 260g) Unbleached All-Purpose Flour
1 tsp (2g) Baking Powder
½ tsp Salt
1 tbsp ( 14g) Shortening
¾ cup Water
1/3 cup ( 75g) Sourdough starter
3cup peanut oil
For topping
Cinnamon sugar ( ¼ cup sugar +1 tsp Cinnamon)
