▬▬▬▬ Video Transcript ▬▬▬▬
Hey everyone, it’s Matt, and today I’m going to show you how to zoom in on a Mac. I’m currently using Google Chrome, and it’s pretty straightforward.
If you’re in a browser, you can easily zoom in by pressing Command and the plus sign. To zoom out, just hit Command and the minus sign.
However, if you’re in full-screen mode, those shortcuts won’t work. So, what if you’re not using Google Chrome or you want to zoom in on other applications?
No worries! You can access the system settings on your Mac to help with that.
First, head down to your dock and look for the system settings, which is the gear icon. If you don’t see it there, you can find it by clicking on apps and searching for “CIS” to locate system settings.
There are various ways to find it, so just make sure you know where to look. Once you’re in system settings, you’ll want to find the sidebar and click on “Accessibility.” From there, go to the “Zoom” section.
By default, the zoom toggle is off, so you’ll need to turn that on to use the keyboard shortcuts for zooming in and out. After you toggle it on, you’ll be able to zoom in on any window.
The keyboard shortcut for zooming in is Option, Command, and the 8 key. It’s a bit odd that it’s the 8 key, but that’s how it works.
To zoom out, just use the same combination again: Option, Command, and 8. I hope you found this video helpful!
I’ve covered two ways to zoom in on a Mac: one for Google Chrome and another for general applications. If you enjoyed this video, please give it a like and subscribe for more tips!
