The Maya - Animation Honoring Maya Set to Original Score
A Burbank High School Arts collaboration project: Stunning imagery and animation created by BHS Animation student artists honors the traditions and beliefs of the Maya, inspired by and set to the original score by BHS Instrumental Program musician Grigori Balasanyan. Performed live with full orchestra and screened animation at the BHS IMA Pops Concert in May, 2022. Screened at the 2022 BASH+ at Nickelodeon. Won Aesthetic Non-Fiction Award at the 2023 California Student Media Festival.
