Junkyard King Series Concept & Animated Trailer!
The Junkyard King is an animated series concept about comedy, exploration and the bond between a found family. It was created by Burbank High School Animation Senior Focus students Frances Bach, Leah Breyer, Spencer Nicklaus and Griffin Slaughter, with guidance from Nickelodeon mentors. The series overview explains the characters and process in creating the show bible, and the animated trailer teases the show content and dynamics.
Screened at the 2022 BASH+ at Nickelodeon. Won the Aesthetic Non-Fiction Award at the 2022 California Student Media Festival. Selected for the 2022 All American High School Film Festival.

Synopsis:
Thousands years into the future, humans have gone extinct while animals have continued to evolve. In this future, a group of ragtag kids and their mysterious leader, known as The King, live in a sacred home they call The Junkyard. The kids are sheltered from the harsh outside world, with only The King's bedtime stories to help them understand what lies beyond The Junkyard's gates. The King's second-in-commands, the fiery Bingo and the resilient Gosha, train to one day take the throne. The two clash frequently, but their shared curiosity about the outside world forces them to work together to discover their own destiny.
