this song is honestly so fitting with puss and i got the idea to make an edit of him w this song as soon as i saw the movie really. i feel like the lyrics and music match up really well with his story; making my edit mainly surrounding the idea of how puss is afraid of death and portraying his emotions with the anxiety that he deals with over the fear of mortality. i really relate to him as a character and with this fear that he has to face. i think it's really incredible how death helps puss to realize that he should value the life he has and that, he should just make the most of it. so he fights death at the end of the movie but, he doesn't defeat him really. instead, he and death make an alliance and death is nice to him at the end, and says to him that he will be back again but, not for a while. this shows that he has faced his fear, and learned to accept that mortality isn’t something to be afraid of, and that life should be lived to its fullest. so i feel like the song “blackout” really makes sense since it’s like puss is saying, he won’t blackout and he will fight this time. the bridge in the song and with the clip i used of puss “drifting” with the blade that kitty gave him is my favorite part because holy shit it’s so fucking sick the way it goes with the music so well. i can’t believe it works out so PERFECTLY.
i included clips of other characters but, it’s mainly focused around puss and i feel like it really turned out well. he is one my biggest comfort characters, and i love him so much💖
