Blue Lock is filled with homoerotic elements, from Nagi and Reo's relationship and breakup to Kaiser flirting with Isagi as a mark of dominance. This analysis explores how queerness is not just a kind of fanservice, but rather, a fundamental aspect of Blue Lock's narrative. We also examine the queer aspects of Blue Lock in light of real-world sports culture, including casual instances of queerness and hazing rituals, and set out how the Blue Lock facility offers an alternative to toxic models masculinity and sexuality.
